¶ According to reports, the Queen (no, not me - the one in England) is concerned that Prince Charles' environmental advocacy is...I dunno, annoying, I guess. She's not happy about it.
Her ride on the monarchical gravy train will be over before things get too bad, giving her precious few reasons to care. Helen Mirren is waay more fabulous.
¶ Meanwhile, President Bush says Whoa! Hey! Aren't we being a bit hasty in taking action on climate change? While praising the IPCC report that says we're strangling the precious lifeblood of our world, Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman and other administration officials warn that actually *ahem* doing anything about it could cause some hypothetical people somewhere to lose their jobs. Technology, they say, of some sort, will come along eventually that will fix the problem. Not to worry.
¶ Polar bears (no, not me) are becoming ever more frequently stranded on ice floes, as melting is reducing their habitat exponentially. There are now around 25,000 polar bears left, and they suffer from reduced weight and birthrates.
¶ Speaking of Bears, they shall win on Sunday with solid defense, I predict. All other predictions are incorrect.
