OK, Buffy dorks (I know you're there. In fact, I can see you...) got some news for y'all. Despite having the best series ending ever, and implying that all of the main characters are moments away from noble but gruesome deaths, Joss Whedon will be partnering with a new writer to do an "official" comic-book continuation of "Angel", as he's doing with Buffy. Don't know when.
I watched most of the first-and-earliest-ever Democratic debate last night, and have no conclusions. It seemed like a rehearsal, and that's probably for the best. Edwards probably looked the least uncomfortable, Hillary came off as a little shrill, and even Obama sounded a little uneasy. In the fashion primary, Edwards had the best tie, Bill Richardson had the worst, Barack Obama's was nice but too wide and made his head look small, and Hillary's pearls were way too big. Edwards wins this round.
Also, Taiwan is facing a loss of bees that dwarfs the loss so far being felt in America and Europe. For all intents and purposes, Taiwan suddenly and inexplicably has none. Also, a story near-and-dear to my heart, an unprecedented algae bloom in the ocean off the west coast is killing hundreds of birds, sea lions, and dolphins. Two more stories that I'm sure have nothing whatsoever to do with man-influenced climate change.
Buffy dork at your service! Reporting for duty, sir! I'm excited about this new Angel development... does this mean I'm becoming a comic book dork, as well?

Yes. But lovably so.
