So, the DNC rules and bylaws committee voted Saturday on a resolution of the Florida and Michigan delegates. Florida gets all of its delegates back, but they're penalized by only getting a half-vote each. Both campaigns were pretty pleased with that solution, though Clinton would have much preferred full votes for the delegates, since that would've given her a pretty big boost. Michigan is a bit more confusing, and controversial: Clinton was given an arbitrary ten delegates over Obama, and then those votes were cut in half, similar to Florida. Foreseeing a big Clinton victory in Michigan, Obama worked to have his name removed from the ballot in Michigan. As a result, the only two voting choices there were "Clinton" and "Uncommitted". Clinton's less pleased with the current solution, since it gives Barack Obama all of the uncommitted votes, and moves a large number of votes from her column over to his side. This may all be over, or the Clinton campaign may make another appeal. We shall see.
Puerto Rico is voting today, with 55 delegates at stake. Paradoxically, these last couple of days in the campaign will likely see Barack Obama solidify the nomination, but also see Hillary Clinton take a solid lead in the popular vote.
If I've bored you to tears with that, here's a cool thing with a ball:
